Can anybody tell me what I've got?
And what they fit?
I've got (2) 9003 ST
I've got (2) H3 ST
They are the silvania silverstars. What vehicle do these fit?
On a protege5, is the high low beam one bulb. Or are they seperate bulbs, if so what bulbs/product numbers do I need for the set of three. high/low/fog?
Thanks

I believe the lows are H3, the highs are 9005, and the fos are H7. Or maybe I have the lows/fogs mixed up. You can just go to the sylvania website to find out.

see my sig for proper p5 lighting sizes ;)

H7 = low beam
9005 = high beam
H3 = fog lights

I've gone through 4 of those in the last year!!! (I have properly installed them too btw) the filaments keep breaking on me. I don't know if the P5 lights burn too bright for them or what but I know other people have had the same problem. They do put out some kickass light though!!

Are you wearing gloves or something when you install them?

no gloves, but I never touched the glass. BTW only the filaments are burning out, not the bulbs breaking. I've burned through my 5th damn bulb and am going to go to a regular headlight to see if that makes any difference.

H7's don't fit

Ok I tried to install the H7's headlights. They don't plug in correctly. They fit into the housing and the retainer clip works. But the wiring harness doesn't match. It seems that the plug is the same, but when you try to plug them in. The blub and the plug are about 1/4 of an inch difference in spacing.
The number on the package that I've got is H7 ST/2. This is a twin pack.
Help Please

pull the black plug adapter off the old bulbs and use them on the new ones. but i'm with jlanger, i burnt mine out in about 6 months.

I too have had silverstar reliability issues. I've been doing headlights for years now so never a single touch of the glass, yet after about 6montsh or so each, they just burn out on me. Screwthat, not worth how damn expensive they are.

I had the same issue with the silverstar H7, after 6 months they would burn out. After replacing the 4th bulb, I finally got fed up and installed HID in my car...hopefully now I will not have to change them for 3 years...lol

My Silverstars recently burnt out after about 4 months. The output was brighter than the other bulbs I've used, so I'm sticking with them. I've tried Philips and Wagner. . . . they only lasted about 6 months.
