Help with broken CAI part

So!

It went pretty well while doing the dremel trick. I did a clean line in the bolt but unable to make it turn with a flat blade. After all, it has been put in place using a ratchet. I didn't used much force with the ratchet but you know that a ratchet is 1000x stronger than a flat blade.

Ho well, I guess I will have to go to a garage somewhere to get it removed. I'm not skilled enough to remove it. Not sure that I want to drill through the bolt too, as I'd like to be able to screw another bolt into that place.

Get an adjustable wrench on that screw driver to make more torque. Sears screw drivers are nice because they're easy to grab with a wrench (they have a hex handle), and get replaced for free when you break 'em!

Hmm, the bolt is _really_ small. I'm affraid I will break the line I made if I use more torque. I might buy a kit of bolt extractor... instead of paying for a mechanic to do it. The kit will stay to me at least

It is beginning to leave deep scratch marks on my intake.

Without the "rubber" part, you'll function just fine, but don't be surprised if you develop a stress fracture somewhere in the intake from the constant movement of the intake without That fracture could allow raw, dirty, unfiltered air to get into the engine.

The intake tube does need to be held in place to keep the intake from moving and it does need to also be isolated by something to keep it from being rigidly attached to the car body when the engine flex on the mounts. It might work fine for years, but that "rubber" part is there for a reason.
