Mazda 3
Hi everyone! I am new here and I am a woman so I am completely clueless.

For the past couple months my Mazda 3 has had an issue where the turning signal doesn't work, the wipers don't work, the rear defogger doesn't come on and the alarm goes off when I press on the horn.

At first this problem only happened once in a while, but now they permanently do not work. Most recently, my doors do not lock when I use the remote. Seems like it is shorting power somewhere...

Before I go spending a ton of money to find the issue, has this happened to anyone?
What could it be? A friend thinks this is a fuse box issue.

Thanks in advance for your help!

i say first off take a look at all the fuses make sure they are ok and check if there has been any modifications/wires done to the fuses and fuseboxes both in the engine bay and the PJB under the glovebox

i had a similiar issue,my alternator was dying. They changed the alternator and the problem went away. If you can, open the hood and look on the botton left side of the engine block. There is an alternator and on top there is a hose. In my case, i had a liquid dripping on the alternator causing a short circuit.

Hi everyone! I am new here and I am a *newb* so I am completely clueless.
Just a word of advice - being new can be a reason for being clueless...being a woman does not mean you are automatically completely clueless. This forum has quite a few women who are adept at working on, fixing, diagnosing, racing, and being all around gearheads just as much as the guys. Good luck in fixing your car! :)
