help! orange headlight reflectors suck...

uhh no.... as long as you don't **** with the headlight, it's legal

it is ILLEGAL to modify ANY lighting equipment
it is also ILLEGAL to NOT have a orange reflector

u might want to look at the laws for your state before you make such a postitive statement man. In oklahoma and texas (both fo these verified by officers of each state, as long as the bulb is emitting the same color of light as its supposed to stock then it legal, kind of like clear euros are legal as long as the brake lights have a 2 stage red bulb in them, such as clear side markers are legal as long as they emit an amber light.

you might want to check the federal law MAN

Cars in ALL states must comply with federal law. However enforcement is not controlled and that is up to the state which may have a vague reference in their vehicle codes such as "must comply with federal laws".

so no, your beloved clear corners and clear tail lights are NOT legal

and cops don't know s***... that's why there's judges

a reply to the man's post

ya they have judges to enforce the tickets the officers write. i have had clear side markers for a yr now and i tend to deal with the state, local and sheriff police officers quite abit but nobody has ever said anything about my side markers. what is a judge going to run me down in his car and give me a ticket? i really dont think so. cops dont seem to care as long as it is not blue or green!!

I'm not going to install a cracked lense on a future show car :(

Understandable. I think that question was posted before you recieved them. I will be sure to send you a set gratis when I get home.

People have taken theirs out...it looks stupid because all you're left with is a little silver circle with an exposed bulb. As long as that bulb was still amber, you would be legal. There is an 03.5 MSP owner (user name tytanium) who was going to mold the orange reflector in clear. I was going to wait for this before I opened my headlights up to paint them black.

Looks very similar to what I found on a car here on base tonight!: http://www.msprotege.com/vbb225/showthread.php?s=&postid=594632#post594632
