Ok, i REALLY want to take mine out of my headlights. I love how the Pro5's have clear reflectors inside their headlights. Of course the stupid sedan doesnt....

i know there is that how-to for painting...but can i actually take mine out, or is that illegal cause then i wont have any reflectors or whatever...and if i take it out, wont it look all weird? is there a way i can put in a clear reflector to replace the orange one!?

Has anyone with a sedan done this? Any help would be nice :D Thanks!

People have taken theirs out...it looks stupid because all you're left with is a little silver circle with an exposed bulb. As long as that bulb was still amber, you would be legal. There is an 03.5 MSP owner (user name tytanium) who was going to mold the orange reflector in clear. I was going to wait for this before I opened my headlights up to paint them black.

uhh no.... as long as you don't **** with the headlight, it's legal

it is ILLEGAL to modify ANY lighting equipment
it is also ILLEGAL to NOT have a orange reflector

the reason the p5s have no reflector is we get shafted and have that huge thing on the bumper

consider yourself lucky :D

Whatever, no one is going to hassle you about not having it.

Anyway, this is what it looks like with the orange piece removed:

I think it looks funny without that orange piece, maybe pull it out and spray that shadow stuff on it???

ooh, what shadow stuff? has anyone done that?

its like tint in a can, for spraying on lenses, turn signals and so on for tinting them. I think it would look better like that. I've seen it on a friends car and it looks pretty good. mind you he's got almost everything tinted tho

Already done: http://www.msprotege.com/vbb230/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38975

I have been sent to Qatar and will not be back in the states until March...sit tight and I can make you a set once I return. PM me if you are interested. good luck...

At first I thought that it won't look good because our housing are charcoaled-colored and the whitish look of that reflector wouldnt look right. The he mentioned that the reflector isnt inside the housing. If it was, it would look darker and a lot better.:p
