My mom just gave me her mazda 2001 protege and im in love with loud music.. so i removed the back seat speakers and replaced them with these
CJDA6910.jpg
they worked good for a few weeks but one day on the highway listening to my music and it happened the car went in complete silence so i was like WTF.... i tried messing with the volume and no sound.. im at a lost to what to do.. i checked the fuse wasnt that the radio works but i cant hear ANY sound plz if you have any ideas please help

my guess is you underpowered the speakers and you blew them or you blew the amp in the deck by playing it too loud

What you think i should do? or what do i need to do? or you have any ideas im up for anything

you prob blew your radio, also peek your head into the truck and sniff your speakers, if they smelt like cotton candy you blew them. also remove your connectors, see if those are black or anything. Thats all i can help with

Check the fuses.
If it was the speakers then they would have gone out one at a time. UNless you didnt notice it.

Its a real possiblity to have blown the deck I did, Had to replace it, but I had all sorts of wierd problems before it went out.

i checked the fuses and none are blown... everything went out all at the same time... how much am i looking to pay if i have to replace the deck

You can get a new deck for $100-400 depending on what features you want (MP3 playback, power output, etc). I recommend Clarion, Alpine, Eclipse, and Pioneer for aftermarket head units.

I GOT A SONY CDX-F5501 FOR 150 INSTALLED....

Ive got a pioneer premier deh-p580mp deck for 155 i got 2 of them when i ordered 1, so yeah.. plays mp3's has oel display with graphics, etc.

Or - if you have the pre-amp outs - just buy an amp. Usually the internal amp goes - but the outputs are okay... Worth a shot - eh?
