Help, my car got egged!

I bet Stoner's Invisible Glass will remove it from your window. It's worked on everything on my car including Pecan Tree sap which dries so hard it pulls off your clear coat. Never tried it on the paint though.

As for your paint I'd try a Clay bar first then paint cleaner/polish second. If it's still ****** up use some Stoner's Invisible Glass and see if it works cause you've got nothing to lose.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions. I will try them all before I give up on this.

What is clay bar and where do you get it?

Stoner's Invisible Glass works very well on paint for getting tough s*** off before waxing. It worked flawlessly on my Miata and didn't hurt the clear coat at all or anything like that.

Mine had a "Stoner Purchase" sticker so I had to buy it :D

BTW, while wet sanding might work to get the stain out, I'd be really reluctant to try that. With as thin as the paint is on our cars, you'd hit primer in no time if not extremely cautious. I know that was always a problem with the Miatas.

I couldn't find the Stoner's, but I found the Clay Bar and it got most of the film off, but none of the stains. Perhaps the egss ate through the clear coat and all I can do now is repaint it at best. At least the surface is smooth now.

If I get gutsy enough I might even break out the touch up paint and experiment with it on some of the nice long streaks towards the bottom. Knowing me, that may only make things worse.

Before you try touch up paint or give up and have it repainted, try a good scratch remover. Eggs can etch (or even crack) the clearcoat itself, in which case claying only takes you halfway.

Can you feel the scratch with your fingernail? If not, try Meguiar's #9 Swirl Mark Remover, 3M Perfect-It Swirl Mark Remover, or Meguiar's Scratch-X. If you have access to a machine buffer, try Dual Action Cleaner Polish.

If there's etching you can easily feel with your fingernail, then you're out of luck. Time to wetsand and repaint.

what about gasoline?? would that work? i had tar on a car before and i put a little gasoline on a rag and it came right off. im not sure if its safe for the paint or not, but it did no damage to my paint, only made the tar come right off

i heard that if you take gasoline and put styrofoam in it, the styrofoam will melt in the gasoline.... like a chemical reaction.... now stay with me here. I recommend you put gasoline and styrofoam together (this actually makes napalm) and then find those ******* kids and pour this s*** all over them, their house (if they even have one) and their car.... then drop a match. When the screaming is over you can uncover your ears and watch the rest of their belongings burn... as for your paint I would recommend etting a new paint job and get a really cool color :D

Wow! I'm not looking to go to prison for life over a 1/2 dozen stupid eggs that destroyed the paint job on my car. But thanks for your input anyway.
