Help, my car got egged!

The back of my P5 got hit with about 1/2 dozen eggs on Halloween night. Unfortunately I didn't notice until the next day and when I went to remove the stains it was too late.

So far I've tried washing it (scrubbing hard) and bug/tar remover. Nothing has helped.

Any suggestions???

Try a paint cleaner or a good polish.

i once got egged in my old truck, and didnt know for a few hours. Warm water worked well to get it off.

I bet you will have a ton of chips from where the eggs hit. I did, and it was only 1 egg.

my exgirlfriend did it to me last year, i tried hot waxing it. and everything. i ended up having her pay for the key scratches and the egg stains =\ thats all i have to add =[

i believe it was not. it hadn't been too long before but i remember it soaked into that pain. well actually my situation was different. it got egged in the middle of august and sat in the sun baking for over a day. woops sorry im no help =\

RyanJayG: Ironically, I had planned to wax my car over the weekend so no it hadn't been recently waxed. Also, ironically I had my car in storage the past two months and was worried that something would happen to it. Nothing did...until I got it back out on the streets. Thanks Long Beach!!!

Edison_Chen: As far as insurance goes, that's not going to help because of the deductable. I do have my little bottle of touch up paint, but I don't know if that'll be a good idea to use it.

white-mike: When you say your ex paid for the egg stains, do you mean you had her pay to get the car repainted or some other treatment?

pingdum: I will try it.

I got egged on Holloween also! Got my back window but I was at work and left late at night so the sun never baked it. I just went to the carwash in my apartment complex and sprayed it off for like ten minutes, just scrubbing with a spounge while you spray. You get wet but it came off. Nothing makes you angrier than someone f*ckin with your car!

I hear you. Two of the eggs were on my window and although I have gotten the egg film off, the stains remain. I can't believe I have permanent stains on my window!

thats why you sit in your yard with a paintball gun and shoot all the fuckers who come walkin up w/ eggs

I added an insert to the above statment, that makes it much more fitting with the crime.

LA Dreamer you have a great oportunity!

Pay the deductible and get the car repainted with a GOOD paint job. Pay a little extra and get a paint/gloss so deep you can see miles into it.

Had the same thing happen to my Miata a few years back; unfortunately had the top down too - what a mess that was. Unless you wash off the eggs right away, your paint's trashed. I even had a detailer try to polish it out, nothing doing. Sorry man, not much of a choice short of repainting.

clay bar CLAY BAR!!!!

only thing that will take it off without f'n up the paint

NEVER scrub it.

If it's too late and you did, get the spot wet sanded at a detail shop, or body shop. Would only take a few mins, and cost next to nothing. BUT do NOT scrub it out.
