Hey all-

I need to replace my windshield thanks to a crack... been looking at quotes online, and noticed the MSP isn't listed on there, is our windshield the same as a regular 2003 protege 4dr?

Also with vendors, is there anything I should look / ask for so I don't get some really cheap glass? jw--

Yes, the regular 2003 Protege 4dr will fit the MSP just fine. That's the windshield I requested when my original one cracked due to a rock hitting it. (If I remember correctly, the Mazdaspeed Protege OEM windshield was not factory tinted at the top of the windshield.) I replaced mine with the regular Protege windshield because it is tinted at the top. The previous owner had a tint strip place on the top of the windshield and I always thought it came a little too far down.

I paid $220 for the complete installation from my local glass/windshield shop. The replacement windshield is made in Mexico, but seems to be pretty good quality.

NONE of the factory windshields had a visor
the MSP glass is thinner than the normal protege one to reduce weight... at the price of strength

BP7H-63-900B is the part number for the msp windshield
BJ0G-63-900D is the regular protege, mp3 and protege5

that probably explains why MSP owners have an issue with them cracking...
