HELP!!!! Moonroof stopped working!

However, the map lights DO work, so power is getting to the switch console
The map lights receive power completly seperate from the moonroof, so they don't matter.

Ok here is the control panel:

All the switches work by sorting a blue wire to ground (black wire)
Even if ALL the switches are grounded, your moonroof will not fry. (It wont open or close either)

There are two possiblities here:
The connection to ground is broken (Black wire)
Or one of the pins is shorted to be always on.

The first thing I would suggest is to de-solder or remove the auto-matic circuit, as that can be re-added later.
(I did mine three times over, and I will probably do it one more time with some enhancements)

Make sure the actual plug from the switches into the control box is secure
Check the ground wire next with a continuity meter.
Then check if any of the switches are shorted to ground.
Then check if all the switches indeed are making a connection to ground when pressed.

If those all work, you need to make sure the moonroof is getting power.
Double check the fuse, and make sure that the tapped pink wires have power on both sides of the fuse holder.

Then you need to check the moonroof motor to make sure it has power.

I will PM you with some more.

need help please

ZapWizard your post are great. i was reading this and have same issue, from what I see the open tilt and open slide are receiving power but when using the tester on the close wires they have no power...and my moonroof is stuck in open tilt posistion. How can I get power to close wires or is there a seperate fuse to close wires? I did check all the smaller fuses and they are fine.
Thanks!
