While on my quest to cure a little misfire issue, i decided to fit a new set of plugs. All the plugs had a little oil on them, and carbon/soot on the bottom. The electrodes appeared a little grey, but mostly just looked normal but used. One of the spark plugs was loose, and required no pressure to undo.
However upon removing the rubber plug lead, i noticed small metal deposits sitting on the rubber. This was the case on two of the four leads. Is this normal? It strikes me as some what disconcerting.
Whats going on here? The car in question is a 2005 Axlea SP23 sedan. Its currently done 62K kms.
