Help! Medieval Rear MM install Trouble!

Let me preface this story by saying that I am a tard. That being said, I recently purchased a new rear MM for my MS3 and attempted to install it. After for hours of my initial try I came to the conclusion that it was not going to fit. I talked to someone at Medieval who told me that this is a common problem and to use a pry bar and make room for the mount. I did this and got it in okay though when I went to tighten the mount I could not get it tight. I tried for quite a while and no change. I then removed the mount and slid the bolt in by itself and it tightened okay. After this, I had completely given up on the medieval mount and decided to put the OEM mount in. This time the bolt pretty much tightened though not to the recommended torque spec. I took the car for a ride and there was some metal clatter under the car upon start up though everything else felt fine. Can anyone help. Should I take the car to Mazda? Thanks!

I would get a torque wrench and tighten the bolts. Although I'm not sure what to tighten the OEM mount to. I would look into that first. Also make sure to use some loctite if you haven't already.

Also, when you say you couldn't get the new mount tight enough... what do you mean by that exactly? I have a medieval MM aswell and didn't have problems after a squeezed the sucker into place.

I have used a torque wrench and as I said I was unable to tighten it to the spec which I have read is at 60-80. I was able to tighten them pretty much as tight as I could get them by hand though.
