I finnally put a joes manual boost controller on my MSP 2 weeks ago. Everything worked fine until yesterday, when myself and a friend were coming back from work and then it started. Whenever I boost it becomes extremely sluggish. And it's not the normal hesitation either. But if I drive nice and easy(never boosting) the damn thing runs fine. It isn't happening all the time, but its becoming more frequent. I'm also only bosting 0.6 bar. I hope some one can help me out here.

i wanna say its a bad batch of gas. but i dont know. i just know my car is VERY gas picky and it gets exactly the way youre describing it when i get a bad batch

...

I had the same thing happen to me when I put that on. It scared me so I just took it off. I thought it was maybe becasue I didnt' reset the ECU. If its doing that put it back to stock. MBC's suck get an EBC.

I'm starting to think that any non EBC is just not worth the time. Seems more and more people are running into problems.

Funny how my 5 dollar ebay MBC has worked perfectly fine on both my cars. The only time there was a problem is when I hooked it up backwards(chair)

I have never seen a problem with the Hallmans?

But I wouldnt know...Never modded my speed(boom08)
All STOCK baby!(laugh)

Or boostsciences. No offense to JoeP, but there are better quality MBC's out there. There is a thread on here about a GB with boostscience's dual setup. Msg 505zoom to get in on it. I have one of these MBC's myself and they are top notch.

I don't know how this got off on MBC's but my joepmbc seems to do just fine. Laserblue you may be right. It just so happens that I ran her out of gas today and had to fill her up with some good ole 93. I'll just have to wait and see if the gas is really the problem.

Ran out of gas? Bad mojo for fuel pumps that are lubricated and cooled with fuel.

Well I have had my JoeMBC for close to 40k daily driven miles (set bewteen 12-15PSI) without a single problem.
Best 30$ I ever spent :)

well I don't believe it's the mbc either. I'm going to run it hard tonight and see if it might be a boost leak. My daily route from work to home is infested with cops, so it makes it a little difficult to drive it as fast as I want to.
