Help: How to fix door handle on 2006 Mazda3 sedan?

The door opens from the outside but not from the inside. I did see other instructions in this forum for removing the door panel, but it's for a different year, and for a hatch, so I wasn't sure if it would be same....

Otherwise, I'll be heading to the mechanic this week. Time to buy a new Mazda...
