Hi all!

I own a 2002 Protege5 (midnight blue) and I'm pretty new to any sort of modifications to cars. Would you all be so incredibly kind as to give me inexpensive (relatively) suggestions on how I can pull more power out of my car with some mods? I threw a K&N air filter in but that's not really going to cut it.

I was hoping to get recommendations of easy-to-install CAI, dual exhaust (or better breathing singles), and maybe other things I hadn't thought of as well as brands you've used and where you bought them.

I know this is a lot to ask, but I've been reading this BB for a long time and you guys all rock.

Thanks so much!

You'd get more responses in the Performance section..this section discusses engine management (standalones and piggybacks).

Anyways the standard upgrades for a N/A car are intake, header, and exhaust (if you see someone say I/H/E that is what they mean).

Should run you a bit over $1000 and net a noticable gain.

Timing and more timing. If you run good gas, 93 or better you can add timing. Do you base mods, CAI, header, exhaust system. Then for for a little better fuel mix for your mods and add timing.

Thanks again
