Help! Can you do anything to an auto '01 ES Protege? Performance Wise

In order to offer the automatic kit, we need to get our hands on an automatic car....

Sorry Keith - I was under the impression that FP was finished with or almost done with the kit for the auto. Sorry to steer this guy wrong. And your dyno numbers are in wheel horsepower...yes? The Protege puts out about 95 whp / 130 crank horsepower, right? So that would make your kit output at the crank 200 hp?

I'm not going to estimate crank hp.

It'll only take a short time to get the auto kit up and running. We just need the car to fit it. We've had two lined up and both fell through.

someguy told me to get a torque converter

i'm not sure about the torque converter for the protege specifically, but just keep in mind that after you swap to a new torque converter, your launches will always be from higher RPMs.. that means even on day to day driving, stopping and launching at red lights you will be in that "race" mode launch.. hehe.. you'll have people figuring you're trying to race them all the time.. and let's just hope it's not a cop next to you !!

maybe someone else with more experience with the protege can prove me wrong or say it isn't as bad as I think it would be to drive it daily.

Keith

in turn will they be offered a discount??

(not that I have an auto, but I'm just trying to see if someone else can be lured into it, to get the process rolling!)

A long way but I will drive it with you, especialy once Kenyon is done :D.
I have been dying to see FP's setup.
