HELP: best EGR lube?

I finally got down to the bottom of it.

once again, im pretty sure when i put this EGR valve back and the spring/coil can move freely, my car will run!

i've got cables and ignition coils getting shipped to me next week.

the main thing is, I need a really good grease help that spring. it was stuck in the most opened position and when I pressed it in it would jam up again.

what do you guys suggest I use?

Sounds like the result of carbon buildup, a common issue with our EGR. Did you spray it with carbon cleaner (Brakleen) and scrub the inside? I spent about two hours doing that the other day (I used Qtips and a toothbrush). That should free it up. Then I poured a few drops of motor oil inside. Search for the ERG cleaning, rough idle fix thread in the how-to section. It should give you all the info you need.

thanks =)

I sprayed some carbon cleaner (didn't really need scrubbing, it was scrubbed last year) and lubed it up with some pure castor oil I found in the house!

works as good as new

now it still wants to choke out, A) because it hasn't run in almost a month or B) the coils and cables are fried

**spark plugs replaced last week as first step to trying to resolve the problem**
