True a very nice upgrade to the Fiesta. Enjoy the forums, we are all excited about 17 CX-5. A used one in 2020 would be in Order if I can reduce my families carbon emissions by supplementing it with an electric.

Yeah i think I got mine when the 2017 was announced. Apart from the diesel engine, i don't see any need to upgrade. the drivetrain and capabilities will pretty much be linear with one another. I was completely surprised by the stiffness and agility of this vehicle. I could whip it around like the fiesta.
I think a true upgrade would be adding about 30-40 whp and about the same for torque would make this an almost perfect car.
As much as I want an electric, and knowing toyota does it the best and actually test driving it. the cvt transmission is a complete joke especially after startup and slow speeds.
If you have a tendency of driving sporty. I would recommend diesel or a hybrid with a normal automatic if that's your thing. cvt transmissions have a long way to go before its as smooth as the regular auto like the cx5
