protege es 2000
Ok so I was asking my self if I can put a JDM FD3S 13B TT 1.3L Rotary Twin Turbo in to my protege and if its fast or the same for the speed

Will help to know

So it can fit in and and is it a good engine to put in to a protege

It will fit, but there is soooo much more to do than just drop it in...and rotaries can be a real hassle to work on until you know what you're doing. Just google it and see what comes up.

you should look for a different engine to work with. get a worn 2001+ 2.0 liter block, rebuild it for boost, get a reliable turbo kit, and enjoy. a TON less work than trying to fit a rotary engine, and will give you a reliable 200+ hp to work with. (which is plenty for a protege)

Perhaps that will answer your question, a picture is worth 1000 words. :)

fits right in, uses oem mounts and wiring too.

maybe spend 5 minutes under each car before spending 5 minutes to type stuff into the internet.

Torque would help you get out of the snow better. Look at some of the KL-ZE or KL-DE swaps that have been done.

Getting something that's not a protege will get you out of the snow, seriously what is it with these threads today? Do you seriously think more power will help go through the snow? No it's just going to spin more. You're talking about making a fwd car rwd? Just to get through the snow better? I don't even know where to begin on this

Go buy an awd car or 4wd truck

lmao, I figured he wanted to swap just to do it. didn't know it was for travelling in the snow. In that case, definitely not worth it..lol. But if you were looking for more power, just rebuilding the FS can support more than 200. Also, you can get more than 200hp out of the stock engine. But in a snowy area, definitely a waste

if you can't get out of the snow with a stock protege, an engine swap is NOT going to help you
