Hello CX-7 world!

Hey all,

Just purchased an '07 CX-7 to take the place of my wife's '01 Land Rover Discovery II. I know it is not the same vehicle class but the rover was a hand-me-down from me and she hated it!! I didn't mind working on it all the time or the lack of fuel mileage. She did!! I just wanted to say hi and that I just posted a question on the engine side of the forum. Later.....

Hope you enjoy it! I've never driven a landrover, any of them, but I've heard that they can be hard on gas. I have the 09 CX-7 GT AWD TURBO. I have a bit of a heavy foot, but considering its a 4 cylinder, with a turbo, I was expecting better gas mileage. I have a honda van with a 6, and the gas tanks only marginally bigger. I"m taking a shot here, but it being a bigger & heavier that the mazda, I drove it similarly and got better gas mileage. That being said, I do enjoy driving it. Its more sporty to drive and better handling, etc, but there are other vehicle getting better gas mileage. Its the way I drive too. I've slowed down and been less hard on the gas and the mileage has gone up. hope you enjoy it though.
