I came to a cheap school so my parent's wouldn't have to kill themselves working. I'm graduating in May too. It's taken me five years, but hey, double major in computer science and math isn't too easy. Like you said, not my first choice. But I love the life I have here, the people I've met and the experiences I've had. However, if I could go back and change something, I would just to see what would happen. Of course, I didn't get jack for scholarships because I was lazy. Just barely living on financial aid, working at Best Buy, and on campus.katsmp3 said:I dont have it bad. My parents help me pay for school. I have an assistantship starting in August for grad school so then i wont have to pay anymore. Im graduating in May with my four year degree. Looking back, I wish I could have gone to a different school. I love the University that I am at and I've learned a lot. But there were places I wanted to go but couldn't because I didn't have the money and couldn't get the scholarships.
Oh yeah, and for anyone else out there who has a kid who's going to be enrolling soon, when doing taxes, file separately (if married). It increases the chances of getting any type of aid (grants, loans, etc). My girlfriend's parents filed separately (then ironically separated) and she got enough money to work part time and still go to school (someone had to pay for books).
