Heater pipes with an ida manifold

Any One running an IDA (or similar) manifold and running heater pipes? Ive seen so many cars/engines with blocked off outlets and since the standard 4 barrel manifold has the inlet on it, how do I run a heater with an after market manifiold? Do I tee off one of the radiator pipes? Also, Any one running an oil metering pump with there ida manifiold? cheers.
