Hey i was just wondering what the heat rating was on our stock plugs, im guessing like 5? And also what should we get for colder plugs, would 7 work? Any suggestions on which brand and model, since i have upped the boost and whatnot. thanks:D

It has been mentioned by Joe P. that colder plugs should be used, and he was surprised Mazda did not put them in stock. I'll let him come in here and share his expertise, though.

The stock plug (check your manual) is NGK PZFR6F. Joe replaced his with NGK BKR7E (Stock #6097). One heat range cooler and copper electrode (cooler at the tip than platinum). I am considering these plugs but I'm not sure it is a good idea at <10psi boost levels. There is a chance of plug fouling if the heat range is too cool for a particular application.
