headlights leaking

i painted my headlights on sunday and today washed my car and they got a little foggy on the inside. did anyone have this problem? im not really sure what to do about it, the only thing i can think of is to take them out, and bake them a little more so the glue fills up any holes.

they may not be leaking. the air that was traped in side the lights may have been damp. and a sudden change in temp. such as cold water will make them fog before you remove them. i would just take out the bulbs for awhile and see if that works. if not then you may need to cook them a little longer. hope that helps

if its just damp air, what can i do about that, just let them air out during a dry day?

i think just for good measure if i bake them again, ill get some caulk that comes in a glue bottle and make sure theyre tight

yeah just take out the bulbs for an hour and let the air inside the light become the same temp as outside

Mine fog up everytime I wash my car. I don't think it is any big deal. It takes maybe 5 minutes for them to be clear once again. By that time I am usually finished drying the car.

one other test is will the bulbs are out run water over the light and see if you can find water actually running into the light

stealth- that happened to me as well... when i first started cleaning it right after i washed my car it fogged up, but then like 2 weeks later it didnt do it anymore, so im thinking it was damp air and it finally leeched out, now i dun worry about it anymore cuz it dosnt leak...

dude that sucks... After I made the trip over there and all.. I hope its just moisture, but I have a feeling its not just that.. more baking might help, but damn its gunna suck to take all that crap apart.

it is moisture, its just a little bit of fog, theres no actually water in them, its not even drops of condensation.i guess its no biggie, it goes away after a little while, esp if i have my lights on

Pull the bulbs out when they are moist. Take a hairdyer and try to dry it out. That might help if there is any moisture left over.

what do you mean? i just screwed them back together and cooked them again like in the how-to

i was asking, because when i did my taillights, i scraped the old glue s*** out, and used RTV silicon,"66b" on them
