Hey i was just wondering if anyone has any ideas or has done this. Instead of painting the inside of the headlight, I want to put mirror tint (What %?) On the inside of the headlight. I don't know how good it would look cuz i painted my grills body color and too much silver doesnt look good. Is it even illegal too put the tint on the headlights? How would i tint the curves? And any other info or opinions are greatly appreciated! thx

They actually sell film specifically for your headlights. I've seen it for sale in blue and ion yellow. If I could remember a website I'd tell you. Go to a search engine and look up headlight film. The film is for the outside of the housing though

so wait, your stock headlights are blacked out (canadian) and u want to make it crome like the US models?

remember, it gets REALLY hot in those head lights because of the bulbs heat. dont want the tint pealing or burning....

I can tell you that in most states, affecting the output or color emitted by your headlights is illegal. You may want to check up on the laws in your state before you try it.

That's why those GTS headlight covers are illegal in most states... that and they look trashy.

No i have an american one. I live in fl. I dont want to paint the headlights black like everyone else (Even though i probably will is this doesnt work) but instead put mirror tint on the inside to give the car a nice clean look, sort of like putting silver headlight covers on. And it wont change the color of the bulbs, it will just dim them cuz it will let less light through.

I just put yellow 3M film on mine. Makes the light extremely yellow at night, but cops haven't seemed to mind.....yet(2thumbs)

on the outside, and fogs too(2thumbs)

got them from place in Canada, took me 4 mos. to get 5 sets that I sold on here. It is a b**** to try to get a hold of them, but you can try

www.shadowtinting.com they have several colors, clear, smoke, blue and i think red. it is 3mm thick vinyl gauranteed to protect your headlights from shattering when hit by a rock. good stuff. I was going to do another group buy on these things, but the last time it cost me a good bit, and took me a couple months to sell the 5 sets. when i had them no one wanted them, after I sold them people wanted them. know what I mean?? good luck:)

You guys convinced me after I read this thread. I went and ordered some got em in yesterday hopefully i'll get em on sooner than later. I got em in blue. I'll post pics.

I dont exactly remember where I ordered it from. I just went to google and typed Headlight Tint, and got a site. I'll try to find it again and send you the link. The ones I bought appearently are made to do it yourself too. They have intructions on the back of the package that explain and it looks like it goes pretty in depth so that you don't make anymistakes, but... The instructions are in Japanese. :(. O-well I'll just have pay someone who knows what they're doing. I don't want to mess up and have one of those bad tint jobs with bubbles all over the place. Those make me insane!

Man! I can't seem to find the site for the world now. I should have the confirmation letter it the trash at home somewhere. When I get back there I'll look for it and try to send you the link.
