headlight sealer

anyone know what is used to use the headlights from teh factory? all i know is that its light grey and when it gets heated, it gets very sticky. i want to reseal my headlights, but i dont know what the stuff is.......

i told ya man, use silicone. home depot, by the paint. i used it on mine (quite liberally though...) and it works fine. Just dont apply it as liberally as me and it wont look like trash.

any kind of silicone? or does it have to be a certain kind?

there is only one kind at home depot in the squeeze tube (not the caulk gun size). its a couple bucks, its called GE Silicone II

i used silicone on mine too works great, just don tlet your dog get some of it. Had to give him the pen treatment down the throat.
