Heading to Australia

I'm off to Australia the beggining of December for 2 months... just thougth I'd see if there was anyone out there... maybe I can meet up with a few people? Going to be backpacking by myself starting in Melbourne and heading north up the east coast....

well there is many members around... if your around sydney/newcastle NSW area there will be a cruise on january 26th i know of... can't think of too much of the top of my head....

astina gt.com and ozmazdaclub.com would be worthwhile tuning into to keep abreast of cruises in oz etc....

Nope, Melbourne for the first week or two... Jan 28th I fly out out of Melbourne, so curise in Sydney is pretty much out...

My schedule is pretty flexable, nothing tying me back to anyone place...

Great Ocean road is on the list.. I was in Australia 12 years ago... and I went there then... It would be a cool drive, too bad I won't have a car....

it's only 8 appostles now or something i think. still a cool sight to see.

so just melbourne hey. philip island to see the penguins is pretty cool (little cuties they are). maybe the alps - will be no snow, but that's a fantastic time to visit (and to get out of the heat)

I'm only going to be in Melbourne and area for the first few weeks... I'm going to be heading to Sydney, brisbane, great barrier reef after...

cool. well i'm in brisbane so there is nothing around here to see

will be nice and hot in brisbane and north queensland at that time of year. expect 30+ C temps every day, maybe into the 40's

2 more weeks until I fly.... Still no real plans... right now I'm thinking of flying from Melbourne to Cairns and then working my way back to Melbourne....

cant say that i do. brisbane has almost 2 million people now.

lrhk - if you're in sydney on the weekend of the 17th of december (a saturday), there is an import drag racing event at western sydney international dragway. i'll be competing. if you happen to check it out, drop over and say hi.

Nope... not going to be there by the 17th... I'm Cairns now.. just got here today... so I'll stay here for a week or so and then work my way along the east cost.... probably take 5 to 6 weeks to get back to Melbourne.
