Don't think any headers are out atm.
You can check around for mazdaspeed exhaust (made by bosal w/ mazdaspeed stamp). Get if dealer installed and keep your warantee.
Heard there are magnaflow exhaust out.
Draxas has one or is coming out with one.

Best bang for your buck is custom exhaust........
2.5" mandrel bent, glasspack resonator, mistu. evo cat., <add your brand muffler here> and you're set for about 100-300 bucks

Ditto

What he said...

The Magnaflow is stainless and shiny.

Thermal Research is prototyping one, and RS*R is alleged to be bringing one over from the Mazda Motherland.

Say no to farty exhausts.

Thank you I am on my way to muffler shop now!!

I thought Bosal was making the 'Mazdaspeed' exhaust system for the 3 that you can purchase without the 'Mazdaspeed' for a savings. I will have to search that one out.

Headers are going to be a problem due to the integrated 1st cat.

Yes Bosal will release that same system as a non mazdaspeed, BOSAL system. How much of a savings I'm not sure, but it depends on whether you wanna pay more $$ for the mazdaspeed name AND a warrantee

Warranty...lol
I hope you don't think just because it says Mazdaspeed on it there is going to be a special warranty that Bosal does not offer. (lol)

I think he's referring to the fact that using Mazdaspeed parts will not void any part of your vehicle warranty.

I figured that, but I'm sure the regular Bosal will have a warrenty too. So you are really just paying for the MazdaSpeed name.

You're probably right.

dealership didn't care about my bosal when I went in last...hell they pointed out every mod but the bosal and tranny cooler. not shure bout the 3 but for the 6i bosal needs a resonator! I can hear vtcs....you aren't supose to hear vtcs!

What the hell is vtcs and what does it have to do with the exhaust/resonator?

my car is loud enough to hear every functioning part...with almost no restriction I can hear the tone change...2 times in the same gear...in manual mode...only at highway speeds. Unless I was going in and out of vvt under constant WOT which I doubt. Sounds kinda wierd but if I slowly accel it gets to where it normaly disengages vtcs and drops the tach like 300-500 rpms and gets to vvt and picks up speed. I'm still holding the same gear when this happens too.
