header?

Hi every one.

Just wanted to know what people thought about HP racing, OBX, AWR, Aerospeed. Which is the better header?

HP, OBX and Aerospeed are all about the same quality OBX does have a stainless one but it is 304 SS I would avoid that as it is very brittle and will crack easily. FOr the best quality go for the AWR header, very very good construction TIG welds and precise engineering. Or you can jsut maek your own

all those companies have similar quality headers for our cars as far as i know (could be wrong.. anyone know more about this than me??) but if you want to spend a little more (about $400-500... full price is around $740) you can get the mazdaspeed header... its a full header, removes the cat... and its supposed to be badass... i havent found any info on gains or material or anything yet... but im in the process of researching it.... i'll keep you all posted as i get more info... and if someone else wants to get on contacting them for more info too, then by all means.. go for it... you can order the part at www.mazdamotorsports.com

The Mazdaspeed and the AWR header are pretty much identical. I don't think the MS one has teh EGR port either and it only has one O2 fitting as that header was off the mazdaspeed edition protege in Japan. The AWR header in stainless is 499 and in mild steel its 375. Much better price than 700+ bucks.

thanx for the info ch... i hadn't put too much research into it yet... good to know... that may make a few people reconsider (including myself)... i didnt know they were as similar as you mentioned..

PLUS think of this, the AWR header was built for maximum gains due to the fact its the same ehader used on the speedvision world challenge protege.
