1500 miles (moved it 2mm) and 2200 miles when that fix didn't work. Intake manifold runner switch. New part installed @ 3100 miles. No CEL afterwards.

Right shy of 5000 miles, no cel. Not sure of prod. number. But now that I've said something about it not coming on karma is gonna come back and I'll have one.

It's marketing, as in "hey, check out that engine!"

I've got roughly 26-2700 miles on my MS3 and now get a CEL which comes on and off on its on and is the P2006 Intake manifold runner stuck closed CEL. I've heard it doesn't mean anything different and my car still runs like a bat outta hell so, i'll just take it in when my oil change comes up.

Yes, 6500 km, production number 0680. It had been stuttering like crazy in the cold weather. Took it in but nothing was wrong. Not sure what the code was...my wife took it in while I was at work. The service department told her that they were waiting for Mazda to release a ECU reflash to deal with the stuttering problem. Once the car is warm it doesn't seem to affect performance so they said not to worry about it if it comes back on.

came on probably around 1000km then again shortly after, and again and again. Im at 2800km now and it just stays on all the time. Kinda like my old car so im used to it.

Rolled over 4K miles tonight and I'm on my 3rd CEL. First time they cleared it, saying it was a stuck valve that they lubed. Took it in again, they said there was a TSB on it, and it was a valve that wasn't seated correctly, so they removeds it and reinstalled it correctly. That lasted about a day and the CEL was back. It doesn't affect driveabiltiy, so it's staying there until I get a chance to go back in.

1000 miles and no CEL, although my dealer assures me I'll get one because he's already done two of them (out of 4 cars sold.)

I'd be very curious to see if anyone who lives in a warm climate has had the "purge valve" CEL come on yet. Being in canada, the MS3 was released here before the states and I got mine in mid september. For the first few thousand km's.. or while it was fairly warm, I didn't have a single CEL. As soon as the cold weather hit, thats when cels started. I'm wondering if this really is just a cold weather problem?

Just under 900 miles on the ODO and nothing. Where do I find my prod. #?
I think it's the last digits on the VIN. I'm not sure though.

As per the topic:
I've had two CEL's. ON at...1900 mi. or so and another one two weeks later. It's been pretty cold here too. So the first time they elongated the holes for the Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve Solenoid. Gave me a 70% chance it would come back on. It did and now they have a new design for the solenoid. The part should be in by Wednesday.
I would imagine this would effect all of the MS3's made until this point. They all have the same part I would imagine.
Also, After they drilled the holes for the fix the first time, I noticed an improvement in power from 3rd. It had felt "flat" before that time. I attributed it to me being a turbo newbee but still felt it wasn't normal. I started to notice a decrease again a day before the CEL came on for the second time. After they replace the part I expect to feel 3rd open up again....very excited.

3200k and had 2 CELs. First was p2006, they replaced with new part and now ok. Second was p0300 they did a service bulletin. Now everything is fine with CEL.

4k no CEL with it bought and driven in Texas. Rode it hard on the first 1000, no knocks no idle problems sounds great, and first oil change at 2800.
