Here's the scoop. I've gotten a lot of notice of my grill on the board, and I figured a lot of people had it by now but I guess it's still a big deal. I got it about 4 weeks ago, and painted it myself.

Cost me about 205$, and 90$ shipping.

Got it from this site - http://takakaira.com/aerokits/aerokitindex.php3?sideon=sidemenu.php3?cat=6

hi,

I didnt help but notice that your AEM bypass valve is mounted incorectly. It should be mounted before the MAF sensor not after in order for it to function corectly not having water destroy the MAF. thought i'd let you know.

Actualy there has been about 4 threads about this, and each one started with a picture of my engine bay, I mounted it correctly according to the AEM website, not to mention I intentionaly want my car to stall if I suck water in the engine, period.

Here's the longest version of the thread.

can you post a better picture of the top of the grill inside the engine bay? i'd like to see it please.

I'm diggin the grill, but I'm not diggin the mesh. It looks better than my car, so I'll shut up.;)

It all came in a box with (2) pieces. A semi-trimmed silver mesh insert, and the border fiberglass piece. The piece comes in a slight glossed white (pure fiberglass finish), just like white finish of an unpainted fiberglass boat. I think you probably could get away with not painting it if you have a WHITE p5.

To paint it silver I used Dupli-Color auto spray. No idea what other colors match the p5, but all I know is the "Radiant Silver Metallic" is pretty damn close... if not the same, for me.

After like 10 quickie coats of duplicolor on the piece, I used Dupli-color top clear coat, about 4 coats of that for a nice anti-water shine.

The things holding the grill down are the two top black screws, and three alignment spikes that stick into the bottom of the grill.
