Have a question about lowering...

Hello everyone,
I'm getting ready to lower my '09 MS3 with the Eibach Pro-Kit (5549.140). Do I need to upgrade the shocks (Koni sport yellows) or can I get away with not doing that?
Reason I ask is because years ago I lowered a Mustang GT with the Eibach Pro-Kit and it wasn't necessary to do the shocks. Is it different with our MS3's?
Thanks in advance for any and all information.

You should do the shocks because youll blow the stock ones out pretty quickly with springs. Of course if you dont mind changing out the shocks again you can use stock.

I think you will be fine with just the springs. If you were going lower than a pro kit it would be needed. But a pro kit isnt going to stress the factory shocks that much. Im curious to see what some others actually running this kit say though.

Im running Eibach Pro's on mine and I would go ahead and do the shocks if you can find them, they have been on backorder for most of the summer, but anyways after a while it starts to get pretty bouncy especially on the highway..but around town driving is good. Honestly tho you need a stiffer shock on there to make it handle like it should.

Don't do it.

Get Koni or Bilstein dampers before you take the car apart for the install. Otherwise you'll be slamming on the bump stops within a few thousand miles.
