Has anyone painted the mazda emblem on the rims?

I have painted my emblems on the car black and would like to paint the chrome on the rim. I was wondering if anyone has done that? If yes, could you post how to.

I made my entire rim graphite.

I popped it out from behind with a screw driver. Cleaned it with dish soap, primed, painted and clear coated it.

I would love to paint the rims all black or maybe a dark gray, but I don't think that is smart for a student trying to save money.

$25 for all the supplies, good deal to me

Do your rims look like they're painted from a shop because I don't want them to look like I spray painted them. I am also not sure how durable the paint would be. I know paint shops can add multiple clear coats, I think, to make it more resistant to scratches on the actual paint.

My rims look like they were done with a pro paint gun. The Duplicolor I used had that fan nozzle, so it helped the paint big time. As for clear coat I have 3 coats on my rims.

Rims still look great so far, there might be a few tiny little chips but no paint/powder coat will prevent that.

truth...powder coating is more durable but definitely not chip proof. Rattle canning may seem a bit "ricer" but it's an easy and inexpensive way to get a new look....if nothing else to hold over the mod bug until cash flow is better. Sometimes just having a little project is worth the supplies.
