........how busy the NA section is? Not only is it busier than the other performance related sections, we seem to have the most knowledgable and avid members in here. There's always something new to read about, with plenty of excellent conversations and exchanges.

(dance)<--------NA guys

(uhm)<------- 'other' guys

hehe...

disclaimer:to any non NA guys reading this, it's all in good fun....relax

I have noticed a lot of threads and post pop up. Every day I check on threads and notice all the responces. It may be due that most of us are N/A and now we have a thread to speak up. The N/A Thread was a great idea.

i like both sections and appreciate the knowledge that truly dedicated tuners bring to both n/a and FI.

i think any real enthusiast would feel the same.

n/a for the fsde is finally seeing some growth whereas turbo's eclipsed the n/a route in the beginning; which is one of the reasons many people on this board seem to believe FI is superior in all aspects for the FS. n/a simply hasnt had enough blown engines yet to get through the experimental phases. Its nice to see there are n/a trailblazers just as there were FI trailblazers who experimented and blew their motors and allowed the FI community to learn and grow.

so come on people, someone take their n/a engine to the limit so we can see what that limit is ;)

Good Point uclap5. Didn't think of it that way. I really cant blow my engine at this point but if I had the chance I would (crazy). Need to find another one cheap though to modify and blow the heck out of it....... (blowup)

all i know is, im really glad i didnt blow my money on a turbo kit like i initially planned. i'm having tons of fun learning more about n/a setup's and learning my car's blueprint.
when we installed my cat back, 2 buddies of mine did the wrenching while i was filming misc. things, i got a nice video of the underside of the car with the magnaflow installed and it looks great. i also found out im very claustrophobic, and thats why i didnt do much wrench work.... but i was eyeing every section i could to see what was going on. i intend to install my header with my own hands this time so i dont feel like a b****, but when it comes to rolling under the car... ill go ahead and pass on that one. lol.

Yeah, getting under a car is a bit creepy and new to me. When I do it, I'm VERY cautious. I'll have my jack stands on both side, and my hydraulic jack there eased off slightly as a backup incase the stands were to magically fail, then I have the spare tire jack as a backup to that backup. Seriously. LOL

i dunno man, the only way id feel 100% safe under a car is if it was up on a lift, i feel way to uncomfortable under the car with 2 small jacks holding it up.

lol, try just the jackstand with wither bricks or finally stops behind the rear tires...and my driveway was sloped in AZ =)

For some reason this has never bothered me....only times I got even a little unnerved were when doing my springs the first time(cause my dad told me while I was doing it about how he shot a strut through the ceiling of his garage one time cause his perch came loose somehow) and when Im nder the car and we are either taking the engine or trannie out...having something that big and heavy Hang above u is scary.

Hey Chris, I was wondering(cause Im always daydreaming about potential project cars) how much support is there for NA rx7 tuning? I mean obviously all you hear and see in mags and stuff are the turbo models or turbo conversions. But 175Rwhp sounds damn tasty in an rx7.

haha yeah, we finally got our NA section that we've been basically begging for..Its nice having a section I can pretty much lurk all day.

It just takes some getting used to. I love going under the car and seeing the under body and what not. Gives me ideas what I can paint or even modify to make stronger. You can also see if you are leaking any fluids anywhere. Any one know if I were to box the rear control arms will affect the cars suspension. I mean they are c-channel and boxing them will make them stronger. I havn't broken one or anything, just taking precausions. I like driving hard on the corners.

Are you using the stock AFM for that? I'm running the RX7 Meter in my car, and was concerned it might be a restriction in the future.
