Has anyone moved the front seats back?

I have a 08 Mazda 3i with automatic and manual seats. I think it would be a lot more comfortable if I could get the front seat back and inch or so. Has anyone beena able to do this?

Sorry I didn't get right back. I am about 5'11'' but I like to have my legs straighter than I can get them now.

Would you be able to reach the steering wheel if you moved the seat back? I mean you have to like sit straight up and then your back would be awkward instead of your legs.

I see what you're saying. I'm 6'2 and I run the seat all the way back and jacked to the floor and maybe it could be a little longer but I'm alot more comfortable than the Jeep we used to have.
The only issue I have is with my wide load feet, my shoes get caught up between the brake pedal and the throttle. I think they could have moved them apart a litle more...

I have the same proplem I'm only 5'8" but I'm flat footed so I wear a size 12 I thought about cutting the pedal. I too sit on the floor but my seat isn't pushed back too far but my seat is leaning back pretty far... not like anything crazy its just the way that makes it less awkward to drive and I also find my back is hardly ever on the seat... I'm just a really awkward driver.

im about 6-1 and dont have any issue with the seats.....but then again i got a manual, so i have the to use the clutch so i need to be a little closer than i would be if i were driving an auto
i hate how close the pedals are too

I looked under the seat and it seems that the seat mount and seat itself sould be hard to alter, but I thought maybe the stop that the adjust mechanism goes up against. Anybody had the seat out or know how it works? Its a manual seat by the way.

I'm 5'2" and small feet like a size 6 shoe and once in a while my feet get caught in the pedals... but again maybe it's because my feet are small hahahah...

im 6'3 with a size 15 and my shoes never got caught when i drive my friends 3, i actually scoot the seat up from where he sits and he is like 5'11 haha

I didn't start till I started driving my Mothers VW's and the clutch's were s*** and it started a very bad habbit.

i hate how VW clutches feel.. its all good though as long as your comfortable thats all that matters haha

I have this same issue...

I am 6'1" & 1/2 with size 12 shoes. I thought I'd share my measurements since every one else is!! LOL (no)

I have this same problem too! I have a 2006 Mazda 3 4dr and the seat does not go back far enough. Most of my height is in my legs so the way the leg room is it does not allow my thighs to rest on the seat. (shocked) This causes a lot of strain and pain in my hips and knees.

I have been looking all over online for new seats or new brackets that might allow my seat to go back further,(bang) but my search is coming up dry.

(omg)

Please tell me you have found an answer to this issue!!!!(help) Where you able to find your answer about the adjustment mechanism?
