Has anyone else had to have their drivers side airbag replaced?

I took the P5 to the dealer for an oil change and to point out a gap froming between the right side of the drivers airbag and the steering wheel, and now they are ordering a new airbag for me. They claim the airbag cover has shrunk, causing this gap to form. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I bought the P5 brand new on 1-9-04 and this is my first problem with her in nearly 31k miles.
