Harman Kardon Ipod Install

Just finished the install of a Harman Kardon Ipod Link in my CX-Z. I have the stock radio so I used an FM Antenna Cable that goes between the deck and the FM antenna. I would reather use a direct input, but this sounds really good. If I can figure out how to get RCA inputs on the stock deck, I then could use those as the Harman Kardon has RCA outs as well. I haven't drilled a hole to hind the controller cable yet, I want to make sure I have it where I can use it the best first. I really like this unit as it displays the song titles and artist just like the ipod. The ipod is hidden the arm rest. The controller works like the ipod as well to manuver through the menus. Here are some pictures of the install

Looks nice...

I just won an iPod shuffle...would that work with this set up? I know the factory iPod set up requires the standard iPod w/30 pin connector (the connector that works with the optional base), which the Shuffle doesn't have....

Any ideas for a good aftermarket product that works with a Shuffle?

Swank, you might be able to employ this connector which gives your shuffle a 30-pin connector:

Seems like the "wired" FM modulator is the one of the best bets currently for the CX-7 with on model radio's.

I quote jjardine " I would rather use a direct input, but this sounds really good."

This will at least give iPod user a connection that doesn't get the interferance like the wireless FM transmitters. I would imagine the audio sound fequency should be as good or BETTER than a STRONG local FM station If I had to guess without doing any research, I would say your 128kbs MP3's would sound like more like 96kbs files, which is alot better than any FM wireless!

This is the nicest solution I've seen so far for iPods... and very affordable too. I've already bookmarked it!

I just purchased one for my wife and will be installing it soon. Just seems like the best solution for the CX at this point.
