Hardpipe upgrade kit raffle

i'm not requiring you to be a member to do this, so i'm not really spamming or anything, i hope.. but if someone had a 1st gen protege raffle on another site, you bet your ass they could post in clubprotege's forums and tell me, so i'm trying to stick with the "do unto others" philosophy here.

if this annoys the moderators, i'll remove it.

the MSP makes 249.9whp with 279ft/lbs of torque at 12psi,

actually, i'm sure they'd be happy to awnser about thier mods if you asked them how they did it, or even provide dyno readouts or whatnot..
i spoke with him at great length, he _really_ knows his stuff. thier website has a bit of construction going on, so not everything is how it should be, but feel free to drop a line and ask.
regardless of what thier MSP pushes, it's not very nice to insult someone so gererous to your community with large donations of high-quality stuff before asking them directly to substantiate it.

I'm pretty sure it's possible, cause I was talking to one of the guys at Essential Speed and he was saying one of the customers was going to dyno, hopong for numbers relatively close to that. it might not be the same person, but I'm pretty sure those are feesable numbers. I hope my car gets that fast eventually, and it will, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday...

the kit's from essentialspeed. i believe it's the same kit they use on the MSP that pushed those very numbers.

that's the kit, but it comes with a HKS BOV flange now instead of this one

It looks to be vented.

no, it's recirculated. check essentialspeed.com's website. the BOV fitted in the picture in no longer on that kit, it has been changed to an HKS SS flange, and recirculates instead of venting to atmosphere.

also, for those concerned about removal of the heat shield, i believe that was only removed during the R&D stages for clearances.

besides, it's a great chance to win something expensive for $10.
sell it on ebay if you're super-worried.
