got the WR hardpipes installed last night and well just like most other people i chanced the couplers and clamps they gave me....well they popped off 30 seconds down the street from the shop(rant).

ordered new couplers and clamps today from ford, my brother works there so i got the 6.0 diesel couplers and clamps dirt cheap and wel see how those hold....anyone else have any problems with the weapon R kit other than the couplers and clamps?

that is the only problem i heard about with that kit, that is why my tax rebate went to turbohoses hard pipes

k so the car came back to me all nice an purty(rockon)
and the BOV sounds excellent, i have the turboXS and its more of the noise from a bus when it stops and it squats down...i didnt want a whistle

if anyone wants i can take a vid and a pic(dirty engine i am on a dirt road) and then post them up. lemme know.

.....and yes, T-Bolts for the win(friday)...found out the hard way as a NOOB

please post the vid/pic i want to see what these harpipes look like, just curious

the problem with the pipes aren't just the couplers, it's the bends... they have sharp bends near the outlets making couplers hard to fit and seal right

hose techniques hump couplers FTW

im gettin the couplers also next week from a 6.0 diesel the ones with the metal inside. its nice to have a parts manager and mechanic in the family.

il take a video for the BOV and spool. and il take a pic of the dirty ass engine bay with shiny pipes haha. when you open it you eyes go str8 at the pipes and then u look at the dirt like what kinda person drives this thing(omg)

k got the vids up but the pic not yet sorry this was on the way home from work and i did it on my 8525 fone so its kinda bad quality. i wasnt really pushin it super super hard...lemme know what ya think

also put the mid pipe/j pipe back on from sls and it sounds ehh decent but i definitly felt an increase in spool time

thaks guys...now im dealing with the problem of why my car wants to stall/die after let off of gas pedal.

symptoms: on the gas medium to hard then let off, rpms drop down to zero and sometimes my battery light clicks on but then the rpms shoot up to 1500 then back down to 5-700 about normal and then idles. vacuum leak or should i add another washer to my BOV?

it does stall sometimes, even if i just rev it up to move like 10 feet and then let off the gas....anyone????

there's still leaks
I had the same problem until I replaced my t-bolt clamps

noooooo wayyyy god damn it!(chair)
i am learning everything the hard way i guess. so far ive learned- sacrificing money= more labor/more work
more money=(yes)easyyyy.

so im guna take it in and have them check for leaks

don't be a cheap bastard... I made the same mistake... got cheap t-bolt clamps that were too big and I ended up spending more money for the proper ones (from hose techniques).... sure I could've found something else cheap somewhere else but it wasn't worth my time
