hahaha. anyone else think our horns are anemic sounding?

You'll probably want to go back in there and aim the new low tone's trumpet downwards. If you keep it up like it is it's going to collect water.

Hum...thats a good point, it wasn't tight if it wasn't like that. Theres no space on the one side to tigheten down a nut so I really couldnt control where it ended up (if that makes sense).

Did you not use the ground wire it came with? I put that on the bolt and that allowed the horn to tighten the perfect amount so it aimed down.

whoa! that sounds great!!!!!

honestly, i am more stunned with the post that said the bumper comes off with only a phillips screwdriver.

hella supertones FTW

Scares the be-Jesus outta dumb drivers
when they can't see you they'll definently hear you

Stunned because you disagree with the post, or stunned that it comes off with only a screwdriver? I was also stunned at how ridiculously easy bumper removal is. It's actually kind of cool taking it off. The entire front of the car is exposed.

I was able to install the Stebel Nautilus airhorn without taking the bumper off. I just loosened the wheel well up about half way and had no problems, even with the CAI in the way.

Think I'm gonna take the bumper off again today and add a washer in between the new horn and the mounting bracket and hopefully I can get it 'pointed down'.

You could always use the bracket that came with the new horn and attach it to the existing horn's bracket like this. That's how mine is attached.

naaaa, i dont disagree at all. havent even explored it yet. i dont run across many easy car projects anymore. thanks for the help. i am going to add a horn. your plan is way better than that other option.

wow, screwdriver to remove bumper...who would have thunk it?

washer didnt work...tried using both 1 and 2 and both ways it still pointed up or sideways. Did this instead!
