As the title says....H&R coilovers & eibach rear camberlinks installed this past weekend on my Mazdaspeed3. The drop is approx. -1.9" front/ -1.5" rear.

Ride quality is definitely not stock soft. It is much firmer, but for the amount of drop it rides almost the same as the Tein coilover setup that I had on the Mz3 (-2"F/-1.75"R). The Teins have linear springs, while the H&R have a progressive rate springs. So they are pretty tame on minor bumps, but once the bumps/dips get to a moderate-high level (i.e. - expansion joints at speed) that's when you start noticing the fact that you're on coilovers. :D

As for the camberlinks, I used the eibach links for the Mz3. I ordered them from TireRack for $140. I'll have to warn you though...if you install the links yourself, the right rear upperlink will be a bit more involved that a simple bolt on - bolt off install. :D I spent a little less than 2hrs to remove/install the right rear upper link, while the left side only took me about 20mins. I did the exact same link install on my Mz3, and it definitely wasn't easier the second time around. It was the exact same amount of pain and effort.

It looks good, but you're going to have a lot of problems with it on the road, seeing as it's even lower now. Therefore, I wouldn't consider lowering mine.

Depends on where you live, i take it that if you have straight roads in the middle of the desert... you wont have a problem...

On the other hand, if you're in NJ, good luck :)

I guess roads here in AL are better than NJ. *gasp* :D Seriously, I have no problems w/ the drop on my daily routes and stops in-between.

If I've got to take trips out of town or out of state, I've got the option of raising it. It only takes me about 10 mins to raise the front. The beauty of coilovers. :D

As for the white Mz3, my little brother is the proud owner.
