yeah, there's two. Possibly 3!

The last one to ruin my two weeks (and cost me a sweet $1500 ded on my homeowners) was Isabel in 2003. Not so much from the hurricane itself, but from the sweet assed tornadoes that torn s*** up with a vengeance.

9 days no power, 15 days out of work! Yay

That's what I'm gonna do if it comes here. Head over to my parents house and drink some beer with my dad. It's a free vacation for me

who voted for hurricane party?

"Is it BYOB?"

We just got the word at work.

Shutting down the site, I'll be leaving tomorrow morning. Here's to a free vacation!!

Actually, for Wilma, i was living at my parents in Orlando. And, we were routed to the Hospital and Police station powergrid, so we didnt have power for about an hour or so then we were back up. Through all 3 storms.

I am scared to death of what will happen when a hurricaine hits when I"m down here. I heard the block I live on now didn't hve power for a month. And no power means no toilits cause the sewage is on lift stations and grinders .

Anything over a cat 1-2 and I'm outa here

ya, you suck. I'm not on that grid. Can't remeber their names, but hurricane 1 (charlie?) we didn't loose power at all. 2 and 3 were hell. Hey, I was just thinking... don't you wish you still had the Jeep? LOL

On topic: get out!

keep you fingers crossed for me. i live in new orleans and a MS3 isnt really a good car to drive in a flood.

What do you guys think I should do?
1. Park her on high ground/parking garage and throw a hurricane party
2. GET THE F OUT!!

Really? Do you have to ask? Did you forget what happend last time? Get the F out man, and take your MS3 with you. I just learned the hard way they dont do well under water.

If you decide to stay, expect to get F-ed 8 ways from Tuesday.

Yeah, it was nice. No power for a total of 2 hours between all 3 storms

Dude, you have no idea how bad I wish I had the Jeep this past month! lol

I was stuck at the house for 2 days cause all the crossroads out were flooded. Not for the Jeep though. lol

But the jeep has gotten LOTS of love from my buddy I sold it to. New gears and lockers, new floorboards, new interior, all new wiring. lol

Anyways, yeah, GET OUT!! And now we have one to watch in FL again! Hooray for EVEN MORE FLOODING

At least get the car to safety pleasehaha, and maybe you should drive it there. Good luck and best wishes to all you to be affected.

Looks like N'awlin's is on the wrong side of Gustav. FWIW, Katrina passed east of the city. Gustav's path has been to the west side in every forecast track so far. He may not be as strong as Katrina, but if N.O. is on the right front as it appears to be, conditions may be just as bad. I'd say be ready to GTHO in time not to be stuck on I-10 or I-12 at a bad time.

Here's a link to a site which does a good job of gathering all the data together:

OK fellas....calm down!! I arrived in Indiana (my home state) a few hours ago. I and MY MS3 are safe and sound in the midwest so no need to worry. lets just pray my house and motorcylce stay safe.

wow. Cat 5 = 150+mph winds right? even 80mph winds are kinda scary. As much flooding as we got here in Jax from just fay (which was just a pissed off TS) I would NOt be near NO for a Cat 2 or higher. And isn't the north eastern part of a hurricane the strongest? or is it the north wester part?

We threw a Fay party in Gainesville when she came through. There was something on the news about 3 water spouts less then 10 miles from us.

Maybe ppl will be smart this time and not try and ride out a powerful storm.

All is somewhat well in Baton Rouge at 11:30 AM Monday. The Speed3 is under a car cover!
