........4 VIP passes to Def Leppard!!!! at the Verizon Wireless amphitheater here in Irvine.

That's right baby. Box seats....#8 to be exact.

Back stage passes, free food.....

Styx will be there less (oh what is that singers name?)

And some form of Foreigner will be there. Yet, not one member of the original Foreigner band is playing.

I know, I know.........

Yes it has been a while since anything current has been put forth.

But Hey! I liked seeing the 20+ years ago, I find myself watching youtube videos of the same bands.......why not catch a show when they are in town?

My wife loves Def Leppard. She hasn't been to a show/concert in 20 years as well.

^^ that is not nice, it took a lot of courage to get back on the horse after loosing a freakin' arm!

LEAVE DEF LEPPARD ALONE!!! WWWAAAAAAAAWWWAAAAAAAA

Backstage passes? Good now all hte hotties that followed them are now in their 40's and 50's! That's some sexy s***.

It should be a good show. I went with my wife to Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio on the Heaven and Hell tour at the Verizon down here. That was a kick ass concert. I hear that the Verizon is closing down after this year though. If so that sucks. I like that place.

holler at rick allen and jason bonham for me!!!! (i'm a drummer...)

Dude! you didn't have to go there did you?

I mean, who else has as much fun in the Dumpster as we do? Then you go and float a turd like that.......

I'll grow a mullet just to teach you a lesson...

I'm now 40-50.......I like the Milfs, they know that Prince Charming is not going to come and "It" is all just for fun these days.

I didn't know Heaven and Hell came to Irvine. I would have gone to that.

They are tearing down "Wild Rivers" and leaving Verizon. They are moving Wild Rivers to "The Great park" and they extended all those plans for another year.

Honestly, I can't see them leaving the Theater and building homes next to it. The first Megadeath Concert will "reveal" some unforeseen issues between concert goers and Home owners.

Awesome show! I saw them back in August. I was in row 11 and 5 seats over from the platform where Def Leppard played 2 Steps Behind.

Mikey is gonna grow a mullet...then you will have been schooled in teh ways of teh Camaro......

I already have an old Chevy with a V8.....Mullet is against the work dress code.

Well, the concert was really really good.

Styx opened the show. They are minus Dennis Deyoung, the guy they have a replacement sounds good but is a bit "energetic" in an annoying way. Anyway they played for only about an hour. All of the hits. Tommy Shaw is there as well as many of the original members. They sounded good and really played well, they did not Play Roboto and of the songs the left out....were mostly Dennis DeYoung songs.

to be continued......

Foreigner....

They took the stage next. Only the lead guitarist is left from the original line up. The Singer was great as were all the other members. They are using Jason Bonham as their drummer and they morphed one song into "whole Lotta Love" as a tribute to Led Zeppelin. They did mention that they were going to be taking a few weeks off from Touring to allow Bonham to fill for his Father in the much publicized reunion Led Zep concert at the 02 in England.

As far as the show?? I'll tell you this much I did forget how powerful Foreigner was during those first four albums. At that time they were really really Hot on the charts and they making music that has stood the test of time. Hearing the tunes live/loud was a real good reminder of the once great band they were.

Urgent, with that Sax solo......man all I can say.

To be continued

One thing before I continue with Def Leppard. There was a "generation" between the three bands. Styx being almost a 70s band and Foreigner was clearly an early 80s band. Def Leppard started in the late 70s and Early 80s but they were considered a younger band in say '84 when they really started getting big.
Styx was already part of the establishment and those fans would have been well into their 20s prior to DL entering the scene.

So as the first bands played Some of the older concerts goers left afterwards.

I'm 43, so I would say anyone nearing 47+ would have probably not been into DL at all. Strange how a few years separates so many.....strange observation indeed.
