Hi Everyone, I went on an install frenzy today, and installed a bunch of crap that was laying around in my garage. One of the installs was a GT Spec lower tie bar. This install took about an hour (most of that because I dont have air tools). The bolts were a b**** to get off. In one of my pics I will show you my secret weapon. :) I havent been able to drive the car, so I cant say if the bar made any change in the handling. I will let you know in a few days.

On to the pics!

More pics

Here are some more pics of the install. Really not too hard, just getting the bolts loose was the hard part.

Also, I do not know whether an alignment is needed after this mod, since you take some of the front suspension parts loose.

uh oh! I see coolant... ;)

and nice shoes :D

Good catch on the coolant hawaiian_msp. I was doing the TB coolant bypass earlier, and just a few ounces came out of the hoses.

Damn, have to remember to keep the Keds out of the pics next time. :)

Also, last pic. Here is my secret ghetto breaker bar. If you dont recognize it, it is a hollowed out Mag flashlight. It worked great!

Heh... When we did the suspension on my friends Miata, we used the middle section of one of those 6 foot tall torch lights that go in your living room... I still use it sometimes, even though I now have air tools... ghetto...

Thanks l8r. I only paid 72 bucks shipped from ben at horsepowerfreaks.com. I couldnt believe the price. Corksport wanted like 140 for it.

whao, ic. yah another forum member is selling the autoexe one for $100 which is really cheap considering the brand. nice price you got it for though :)

peace

scorch, let us know if you're going to get an alignment. I installed mine a few months back but didn't get an alignment. I have a feeling that due to putting it on jackstands and also "loosening" the suspension, it's not as "proper" as it should be (esp. after tightening it down on the stands).

Will do Dimitrios. I'll get it back running again this week (gotta get a new TB gasket), and see if it is pulling or anything. I am far from a suspension expert, so maybe someone else on here knows if an alignment is needed. If it is, I may just go ahead and get the Eibach springs, put them on, and then get the alignment. Save me a little money.

Does your car pull to one side now Dimitrios?

It doesn't pull at all and does feel tighter overal, but I have had some additional noise since putting it on.

It's probably just overall chassis resonation. I just had similar concerns but haven't seen anything to elude otherwise.

I still have to put the 4-point ladder bar (along with 34 379 other items on).
