2008 Red MS3
I will have my MS3 for six months in two weeks, only thing i have done mod wise making any power is the CAI. I bought the ms3 in anticipation for the new evo and sti, i needed something to calm my blood until i saw how these cars performed in their first year and then i would make a trade. But in the past six months i've come to love my little red b****, and she is always a blast to drive so now im kinda irritated about a few things, i really dont want to let her go. As i said the new evo and sti were my mark but i never buy a car in their first year, EVER! hence i got the 08 speed but i've been a veteran of the srt and evo community for years now and im kinda gettin irritated seeing the new evo has been out for about 2-3 weeks depending on your area and vendors already have these cars right around 330whp........in 3 weeks!!!

My goal for this year was to have a decent 350whp turbo daily driver, if our vendors dont start turning out some stuff i might have to jump ship for the turbo ralliart lancer or evo x end of this year.

hopefully its not the beginning of our problems lol

So tru

yes im talking about the 'DE-TUNED' evo, because basically thats what that car is. the car has the 4b11t + AWD like the evo, minus the brembos and wide fender flares and only cost 25-28k just like our cars....its going to be a mean ass performer, oh did i mention its slightly lighter than the evo.

I would be willing to be the active yaw and SAWD systaems are definately not the same as on the actual evo.

And, if you wanna get rid of your MS3 this summer, let me know, because I will be in the market for one.

the new ralliart is completly void of the yaw and sawd systems its got a center diff. its got the brembos but is missing the bilstien shocks the evo has. the body is the same. it makes about 40hpand lb/ft less than the evo. and costs a LOT less expected to be in MS3-GTI range.

once the boost is raised and it starts to get modded, expect it to perform no less than an evo. last thing i would want to do is catch on of those @ a light

On the contrary, I'd expect it to perform less than evo even with mods. Given the price differences b/t the two, at a minimum you won't get the handling wizardry.

Still a great offering, and I am definitely interested. I'm thinking it might be pretty easy to mod it into a nice performance/cost niche that's halfway between MS3/WRX/Ralliart and Evo/STI/M3. My only concern is weight. If it comes in at the same weight as the Evo, my interest will likely evaporate.

all it needs is cams and some tuning they didnt do much to down tune it so it will be as fast as an evo in a straight line but dont expect it to keep up when the road gets twisty. i did some more research it does appear that the brembos are gone but nothing i have read says it. heres car and drivers link to the car.

Ditto. I can agree it wont keep up in the twisties but would be more like the 9 from a stop.
