Grinding from breaks

Any suggestions for new breaks for my 08 CX9

Was thinking of doing the rotors and pads all the way around just to start new. Was going to do drilled and slotted for the look. Car is my daily driver slash kid hauler!!! I think I can get it all for around 250????

What do you think???

I ordered Premuim Slotted all around with Posi Quiet Ceramic pads from R1 Concepts. Put them all on yesterday.

I too was getting grinding, and it wouldn't go away. All OEM pads were well over 50% left and hte OEM rotors looked fairly good still. I think the OEM Pads were just too hard and caused them to squeek.

I've done pretty well with ebay sourced rotors, I'm also a big fan of the spray on blue anti-squeak stuff on the back of the pads, and cleaning/greasing the caliper slide pins.

I paid $305 shipped for the Front & Rear (Rotors & Pads).

I like R1 Concepts, I used them for my G8 and my 9-7x Aero.

I ordered thier e-line slotted (for the $305 shipped), but they were having trouble getting them in stock. So they sent me the Premier Line Slotted (almost $500), that made me happy.

Here is a little info from thier site on the E vs Premier:

E-Line Series vs. Premium Series

The E-Line Series brake rotors are great for those who want a medium performance upgrade over their factory brakes. Every E-Line rotor uses a iron grade of G3000 that provides great stability and braking power. Every rotor has a silver zinc coating to help protect against rust and maximize the lifespan of the rotor, saving you money from replacing your rotors prematurely.

The Premium series are for those who want a high performance upgrade over their factory brakes. These rotors use a high carbon material which results in a stronger rotor that can handle more demanding driving styles and conditions. The Premium Series have a 50/50 center split castings to make the rotor stronger. These rotors also uses a black electro-coating process that gives the rotor a two-tone color finish while protecting against rust.
