Grind going into 3rd..new clutch and fluid??

My car was grinding going into 2nd unless I slow shift so I put a new clutch in and changed the fluid...What could be wrong? I read something about the passenger side mount making it do that and mine is torn...Any ideas what wrong?

Thats hat I'm afraid of...I may put a speed tranny in it

Have you checked your rear mount also? Bad mounts can cause this but usually the synchro damage has already been done.

You mean the motor mount or trans mount?

I have a somewhat similar problem. Mine happens mostly with 1st, 2nd, and reverse. It only happens when it is hot out and I have been driving for about 10-15 minutes. I have tried tranny fluid (synthetic), poly shifter bushings, all 4 new mounts (all 4 were ripped, but replacing with new ones did nothing). I have a new clutch waiting to go in, just short on funds to have it done.
