Greddy SP2

BOOSTR

1 OWNR MSP
Installed my system last weekend. Downpipe is going on this weekend.

If you want a loud exhaust, Greddy SP2 is not for you. It does have that famous Greddy growl when you accelerate, but its as quiet as stock at idle. The acceleration is smoother and the torque pull is better through all gears.

Thanks to Ben @ ApexMotorsports.

Let me know how much louder that catless dp makes it. I know im going to get the greddy system, just waiting til I figure out whether to go catted (lower sound, dont have to mess with sensors, emissions friendly) or catless (higher pitch sound, probably like 1 or 2 more hp, but have to mess with the sensor and the state wont like me...)

I dont want my car to be THAT much louder than stock.

My msp with a catless dp and no resonator sounds very deep and mellow when crusing, but once you get on it it's pretty loud, but not raspy like an NA car would be without cats inside. Outside it sounds like a mini wrx hehe. The turbo pretty much muffles all the crap out. Go for the catless DP!

how's the piping at the resonators and are the resonators very restrictive?

Hey what looks like a 02 sensor bung on the downpipe..., is that where you put the sensor after you install the mil eliminator? So basically..., I just plug the sensor in there and if I ever have to go to the dealer I can just swap out my exhaust+dp and they wont know the difference? What about if they hook up the diagnostic plug, will they be able to tell or will it just act like it is functioning normally?

I just have a question about that Greddy SP2 exhaust, why are there 2 resonator pipes? Pic # 4 is what Im referring to.

i think ben's blowing out the sp2's at $430 before shipping. and 2 resonators = quiet properties of the greddy line.

I paid $819 for the downpipe and exhaust system. Don't be fooled by the additional resonantor. Its a straight thru system, high quality Japanese Manufactured product.

No sound clips, sorry. But it is quiet at idle and a nice low pitch growl upon acceleration. I will report on the increase in sound if any when the downpipe goes on.

Thanks. Greddy SP2 is a nice addition to the MSP with or without a downpipe.(headbang)

My guess is it will be a lot louder, because with stock exhaust and a catless downpipe my car was louder, not a lot but definetely noticeable. I can't wait to get my SP2, I think its the nicest exhaust available for the MSP.

are there any sound or video clips on this system yet ?

HEY!! Check the "Aftermarket Exhaust" thread - it has video clips/sound clips for almost all of the exhaust systems for the MSP.

I have a catted Apex downpipe on right now with the stock exhaust. Car now has a new lower growl, sounds very nice especially upon acceleration.

My Greddy SP2 is in my garage waiting to be installed. Are the resonators on your SP2 hitting the heat shield; because I'm having that problem with my stock exhaust right now since I put on the Apex Catted Downpipe. Has anybody solved the tin can rattling sound yet? (It's like the downpipe is hitting the heat shield and the heat shield is hitting the shifter. Also, I have installed both washers included with the downpipe and Kartboy hangers).

Sorry to jack da thread... Just hoping that installing the Greddy will solve my rattle with the Apex.
