Yo, wazzup everyone...

I've just purchased and installed the Greddy Profec Type S. As a result, my car is able to sustain between 9psi and 10psi all the way to redline. However, the boost still spikes to about 12psi. On this EBC, there are three nobs: "BOOST GAIN", "LO BOOST", and "HI BOOST." According to the manual, to suppress the boost from spiking, you need to adjust the "BOOST GAIN" nob. The default settings of the Greddy EBC for the "BOOST GAIN" is set to max. I've adjusted it and it doesn't spike anymore. Also, the car still holds boost around 9 to 10psi.

My question is am I loosing power on the high end by adjusting the "BOOST GAIN" to a lower setting?

On my car I had to have the gain turned all the way down. It would hit would not spike at all, just hit 10 psi and stay there.

negative ghost writer...does the type s not have actuator button settings on the back of it?
im sure you know but in simple terms the only thing your doing is regulating how fast the wastegate is reacting.
the more gain the faster spool. i love my original profec b...i hear the type s is the same design.

Are you serious?! Is that what actually happens with your adjustments? Thanks for the advice. I'm going to try it right now and I will get back to you.
