New belts are a must! :) I just cracked 60k, so new belts are up regardless. Ive used Gates belts for years through O'reilly AutoParts, and have nothing but good things to say about em.

I went and helped a friend install this pulleys. Quality, fit and overall look are an A+. We did the install at a shop up in Ogden. Installed all 3 pulleys (he is the test bed).
Baseline dyno:
100.3HP
Stock P5 with a catback and SLS midpipe.
It took 1.5 hours for 3 of us to swap all 3 pulleys while sitting on the dyno.
104.7HP after the install and the car being warmed up.
Just waiting to get a copy of the dyno sheets from him so I can upload. He says you he can feel a little difference and is overall happy. A+ to Brach.

The parts are very nice and a 4 whp gain isn't bad either. He is waiting on the crank pulley and is hoping for 4-5hp from that.

I wonder how much WHP I have now, can u dino an auto? I don't know how it all works, I've never been. Thats another thread though lol.

yea, i would expect a couple of ponies from those 3 lightened pulleys....but 4whp is great. 5whp could be within reach, but i wouldnt count on it.....i see 5+whp gains from UD pulleys. I'll cross my fingers though :)

..im talkin N/A btw

Hands down Gatorback belts. I installed them with my new pullies (ALT, Water & RR Crank pulley). No squeaks, and no louder than the stockers... The only noise I hear is my twiggy cams slappin' those valves open (glare)

65racecoupe,
Thanks for doing the dyno!

Brach,
Great results, good job!

Auto or manual? Has to be a manual, right?

You have to figure though people, on a P5, the difference of power loss between a manual and an auto is not that much. I thought that has been discussed on this board many times......

YES. But it speed-governs 4th gear, so u need to run the dyno on 3rd gear.
My P5 Auto dynoed at 90whp and ....169tq ?!?!

thats with I/H/E and a non-tuned MPI.
Tq figure maybe high, but the torque converter acts as a multiplier.
Dyno was a conservative, the Dynacom dyno we used is typically 7% lower numbers than a DynaJet would be.
I will be re-dynoing after cams and new head goes in :)

Ditto, thanks guys!

WRONG! I disagree. Difference is VERY significant.

CrazeeD, I am really interested in seeing those numbers once you put the cams in. What kind of cams? JDM or integral?

Sorry for the hijack......

Screw the dyno, I just ran a 17.002sec @ 81.09mph in the 1/4 mile. A good half a second better than before my UDP and these pullies, and I even had a half tank of gas:) Also beat an old BMW M3 on that run!
